Pianist Dick Bay has played with Who's-Who-In-Jazz altoist Sonny Simmons, as well as tenor player Jack Bonus and singer Jacqueline de la Faire. In his previous incarnation as a country/rock musician he also performed with acclaimed singer/song-writer John Hiatt, the late great Hank Ballard & the Midnighters, and Nashville recording artist Gene Cotton, as well as recording with Ramblin' Jack Elliot.
Besides jazz piano, Dick also plays cajun/gypsy/rock accordion with Miracle Mule and with the Babushka Brothers, 25-year veteran volunteer performers for Bread & Roses.
Dick is an accomplished composer and lyricist, with over 100 songs to his credit. His songs have been recorded by John Hiatt and Johnny Rodriguez. He scored the independent short film "Tenth Moon," plus his own short, which he made with a grant from the American Film Institute.
